hi there, i keep getting this email asking for help. Its from a girl from the ivory coast. Her dad has been assasinated and left her 5 million dollars in his will. She is in hiding in a hotel incase assasins find her, She wants to deposit all the money in my account, and in return give me 15 percent. She plans to come here to find work afterwards! Whats the scam please?

Whats this email scam please?
The scam is to get you to you give your bank account number and details so they can access it and take your money.
Reply:the scam is so she can get your account information and take your money out of your account (instead of putting money into it).

report the email, block them, or just delete them when they come in.

don't feel bad about not helping a damsel in distress.

remember, "she" is probably really an ugly 45 year old man with major scars and tattoos and a lengthy criminal record!!!
Reply:first......do spy novels come to life? no.

scam is she will require your account numbers to deposit the check...in turn you now gave her access to all your money and before you can say goodbye, you are cleaned out.

yea.....some woman somewhere picks you out of the blue and does this......you are gonna have one sorry life my friend as the world is gonna take you for a sucker if you believe things like this.

remember one simple theory.....NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE.
Reply:hey if your that dumb......

I am a million are but i am lost in the UK with an American passport cant open a bank here in the UK

can you open a bank account for me or just take my money and ill give you a cut

pretty please its not a scam i a genuine
Reply:Yep. Definately after Your money. Delete it and don't loose sleep over it. Don't forget if you don't know who sent it...it's a spam and doesn't need your reply. So far I've been told I've won the Spanish, Australian %26amp; Canadian Lotteries and I'm close to being a multi-millionaire...in return for a small fee and my bank details. Load of tosh. Just delete anything offering you money you haven't asked or entered a competition for....and hey...sleep easy at night!!
Reply:It is a scam and there are a lot of them alike out there. I would report the email to abuse@yahoo.com or abuse@ whatever site you are using for your email. Do NOT give out any credit card numbers or any personal info such as bank account number and social security number.

Also if she has five million dollars why is she in such need of work? The ignorance of the letter speaks volumes.
Reply:That poor little girl! I did this for her and she depleted my life savings... now she needs even more money!!! Please, everyone help her!
Reply:it is just what you said..scam...they want your bank account number and any other info they can get...so they can drain your bank account. send it to spam on your email and you shouldn't get it anymore
Reply:rubbish
Reply:listen to everyone especially Sarah Katrina... she just left out one point though and that is the dirty old criminal w/tattoos is a slob that goes by the avatar of **Peachy**...

cobrone for sure...
Reply:It's a money Laundering scam. You'll probably find that the money is counterfeit or used in drug running. They play the "defenceless little girl" scam to lure in those people with a heart. This process will either give them control over your account and let them drain it dry, or clear up the traces of the money in drug running and help evil drug smugglers evade the punishment they deserve (I hate drug smugglers, making profit killing others).
Reply:The scam is that she will ask you for money to release her money in her account. Once you have sent money she will keep in touch with you and befriend you then she will tell you she has more problems with releasing her money. My advice..

Do not pay and delete.
Reply:Alot of them are going around at the mo...I used to get loads at one point. They are only after your personal details/ bank details and will want money from you first before the "alleged deposit" into your bank account. They will take your money and run!

Just delete and if you have the option in your email account, then report and delete.
Reply:well its as you say.a scam.ive had that several times,i just report and delete it.
