If i got a scam email made to look like it was from Yahoo, where do I report it?
phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com.

The FTC hosts this excellent guide to dealing with spam and email scams. It suggests you forward any unwanted or deceptive message to "uce@ftc.gov." No doubt, that's one very full inbox.

The FTC piece also describes several currently popular scams, including work-at-home schemes, weight loss claims, and a plethora of adult entertainment offers. They even have a whole section devoted to chain mail.

Best of luck.....
Reply:To report a phishing email, please forward the email to phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com.

To learn more about phishing, please visit the Yahoo! Security Center.

Whatever you do, don't write them back or anything. I got one from ebay and paypal before. Also poor fakes by all the spelling errors. Just make sure to report it right away!

If you need to know how I got to this page you go to yahoo.com and then to the bottom where it says help and click on that. After that you go to report abuse and it has a lot of options you can choose from on there.
Reply:Yahoo sadly cannot do anything about these scams. The messages come from computers which are taken over by hackers and used for this purpose. It is almost impossible to catch these people. The main thing is for us to be careful not to fall for their scams. Don't answer just delete them Good luck and be careful.
