I received an email saying I won money in the UK Lottery is this stuff legitimate or a scam?

Has anyone ever really won anything off the internet? My first instinct says its a scam. Do tell?

You don't get anything for nothing, it's a scam do not answer do not give personal information. The iinternet is safe enough if you are careful but please answer nothing that you are doubtful about.Good Luck and be careful
Reply:It's a scam. It's called advanced fee fraud. In order to get your check you have to pay the courier service plus insurance. Spare change compared to the millions you've just won but a very expensive courier considering that you're not going to get anything.
Reply:Trust your instincts.... it is a scam designed to separate you from your personal information and/or money. If it sounds too good to be true, and it is on the Internet, then run away from it, screaming!
Reply:Did they want your bank account # to deposit a check.The answer is simple.If you feel comfortable giving a perfect stranger your banking info than you WON.If you ever feel comfortable giving your banking info to a stranger on line you should not have a bank account or you should not be online
