I got an email from yahoo stating that I needed to update my account or they will close it.Is this a scam?

I think this could be a scam to gey my password but how can I know if its the real yahoo .I sent 3 e mails to yahoo with no good response from them,I wish I could call them and talk to someone

Scam!!!! That's a phishing email. Don't reply to the message and give out your personal information to total strangers or you'll risk losing your account to them. Remember that Y! doesn't send unsolicited emails to all its users, as the company already has that stored in its well-secured servers. Choose Fraud as the reason for the violation you're reporting on.





After that, spam it straight into oblivion without delay.

Reply:It probably is a scam. If your account needs updating, they are the ones that will do it.
Reply:Um... I think thats a scam. Ive never recieved that and Ive had yahoo email for years. Alot of things update on their on now. Im not 100% though. Just my opinion
