I believe a money scam email was sent to me; besides me not answering to it I think something else must happen

I do not know what to do with this email besides ignore it but I believe some authorities needs to be informed because someone else may not know not to get involved and could get in a lot of financial trouble. What is your suggestion for me to do with this email? It is from rasndas@bak.rr.com

NEVER OPEN E-MAIL FROM PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW. It is nice you want to warn others, but there is no help. That is the sad truth. Now that you opened their e-mail I hope they don't have the email address of everyone you know.
Reply:In theory yes but I do not know of any government authorities that take an active interest in these scams - if it purportes to come from a boe fide company (bank or the like) then forwarded onto them, they generally do do something about it
