Does this sound like a scam? (Email job offer?) He asked me for name and address and gave me his company info.

My name is barry king,I just came about your email address through an email surfing affiliated with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. I am the Ceo/FinSec. for metrotextiles company based in the Us.My company produces various textiles materials. I would be very interested in offering you a part-time paying job in which you could earn alot without affecting or disturbing your present job. This job would be based on contract and commission terms. etc. ...

2nd message: All you need to do is to receive some payments in form of money orders from our clients in the states, then get it cashed at our bank( bank of america),you will be deducting 10% of whatever you cashed and that should be your paymant ,you will be getting 10% off any transaction made by you and keep all the recordes in safe keeping for us so as to know what and what payment where made out to you}then forward the balance to the company down here via the closest western union outlet close to you.

Please go to fraudaid.com to start. I was just involved in a "lottery" scam. Anytime Western Union is involved, where the money cannot be traced, it is 99% chance a scam. When going to the above site, click on "One woman's life in the secret world of international financial fraud". Her story sounds very similar to what you may have been introduced to. PLEASE investigate!!! I cannot stress enough the stress I have been going through due to loss of money and identity theft. I was given names, addresses, phone numbers and even a check from a reputable bank. All of these proved to be false and counterfeit. I hope this helps. Good luck in your career search (if you're even looking)
Reply:everyon when you recieve an email from seafield international college regarding job opportunities. please be very careful. don't be decieved. this is fake, fraud and a scam. the one who will contact you is in the name of Fiza Abu (sficolege@yahoo.com.my) Report Abuse

Reply:its a scam and if you give them the opportunity you won't have anything left in your piggy bank.
Reply:Go ahead and ( try ) to cash those fake money orders. Just keep it all to your self and laugh at them.
Reply:What is money laundering? And if you get caught in the middle, there isn't anyone to get you out. I had a similar offer from Nigeria. Dump it as fast as you can along with the cookies. I used Pest Patrol and found something called backweb hooking into my PC.
Reply:i think its a scam.there was a huge segment on FOX news about this.millions of americans get this.they get scammed.now do you really want to risk it?i noticed dozens of grammar mistakes doesnt look real to me and why didnt they contact you by addres??dont do it because you never knwo what can happen.
Reply:Gosh, it sounds good. But if they ask for bank account don't go there. Street address or PO Box info would be fine to give out. I think. ?? Be careful.
Reply:Definitely a scam.

Reply:If it sounds too good to be true then it's probably is. I would do a Google search on the company to see if it's legitimate. Check to see if there's an e-mail address or telephone number where you can contact them.
